Internet Videocommunications, one of Europe’s most experienced systems integrators, is the world’s first Polycom Platinum Reseller.

We have chosen helpful colleagues of many years – Internet Videocommunications of Marlow and Bristol, United Kingdom – as our Solution Provider of the Month for July 2002.

Internet Videocommunications was established in 1985 and was a pioneering large reseller of the Compression Labs (CLI) conference room video-conferencing systems and then also Picture Tel systems.

The Polycom ViewStation came along in 1987 they took on Polycom. They are also a TANDBERG reseller and offer Sony, VCON, VTEL and Zydacron products. For multipoint equipment the Polycom Network Systems (formerly Accord) MCUs and Ezenia bridges (formerly VideoServer) are supported. Truly a multi-vendor company.

Internet Videocommunications operates out of two facilities in the UK: the Marlow headquarters (sales and marketing) and Bristol (Operations, Support, Design Development and Integration).
Polycom ® Inc. Platinum Reseller Certification

Internet Videocommunications is the world’s first reseller of Polycom products to be awarded Platinum Reseller Certification from Polycom ®, Inc. Internet Videocommunications’ commitment to service excellence, industry-leading support and technical expertise has made it the first company able to meet Polycom’s exacting requirements for Platinum status. To date, there are few other Polycom Platinum certified resellers.

On receiving the award from Bob Hagerty, CEO of Polycom, David Rowe, managing director said “This certification ensures for our customers that we not only sell the industry’s leading voice, video and data communications systems, but that we’re rigorously trained and are completely qualified to support these solutions and provide an exceptional customer experience.
The certification requires companies to provide a complete pre-sales, service and support infrastructure, which must be conducted by CVEs (Certified Video Engineers) and requires an international 24 x 7 helpdesk and on-site maintenance. On-site installation and user training must be provided by Polycom-trained engineers. A Polycom demo facility enables customers to see the complete range of Polycom solutions.

This gives them unique skills to install total conferencing solutions like The Polycom Office and TANDBERG Meeting Place.

Internet Videocommunications takes care of the entire, end-to-end video conferencing solution, for many of the world’s most prestigious companies like Axa, Lehman, Mars and Orange.

The company also has a strong record of serving the various departments of the UK Government. Among its Government work is that for three Official Inquiries. The company was awarded the Law Society’s 2001 Award for the Most Outstanding Application of Information Technology used for the Bloody Sunday Inquiry in Northern Ireland.
